Greetings.![]()
Hope you all had a marvellous holiday and that this year has started out splendidly.
My time off was wonderful and so far this year looks promising. I certainly have many resolutions I plan to keep. I think I had almost the same amount last year, but ended up sticking only to a couple. We’ll see how focused I stay on my goals this time around.
And now I’ll stop my mindless rambles and get to the reason for this blog post.
The winner of an autographed trade paperback of “Shades of Love” or an Amazon gift card in last month’s contest at The Romance Studio was Cathryn Stone. Congratulations, Cathryn. And thanks to all who participated.
On other news:
“Memories Forgotten” is now available at :
Okay that’s that for this post. Have a super week ahead and enjoy life to its fullest, it’s too short and precious to waste.
Cherie.

Howdy everyone,
I hope you all are doing well.
Last week's all-day chat was a blast. I must admit I was a little nervous, but the ladies at Whipped Cream made me feel right at home instantly. They are a funny, kind, and witty group that's for sure.
It was a pleasure to do, though I was exhausted when it ended at night. That many hours in front of a computer screen is stressing on the eyes and brain.
And this week, to continue to celebrate the release of "Memories Forgotten" by Amira Press, The Romance Studio is hosting a contest all month long.
You can win an Amazon gift certificate or an autographed copy of "Shades of Love"
Check it out at: http://theromancestudio.com/extra_drawing2.php
Now I'm off to work. I've got many projects I'm working on at the moment that are fun, but very time consuming.
Wishing you a fabulous week ahead. ![]()
Cheers,
Cherie.

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a fantastic time relaxing and enjoying myself. It was great not to work for once. I even had a chance to rent Star Trek and watched it three times. I could never get bored with it. ![]()
I also snuck in time to check out "New Moon" today. It wasn't bad, but can't compare with the first movie. I did find the soundtrack awesome, though.
Now I'm off to catch up on so much. Before I go, I wanted to let you know I'll be doing an all-day chat at Whipped Cream November 25th. If you want to stop by to say hi and ask me some questions or get a chance to win a prize, I'd love to see you there. It'll be my first chat on my own, so I'm a little nervous.
Anyway, the URL to join is:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/whippedcream2/
You must be 18 years or older to join the group.
I hope to see you there. ![]()
All the best,
Cherie.

I hope you're all doing well.
I just wanted to let you know that my Medieval Historical Erotic Romance novella "Memories Forgotten" is out today with Amira Press.

He wanted to fall deeper into sleep, into the darkness, but a siren's voice draws him out of unconsciousness. Her beauty enamors him. He longs to touch her, kiss her, make love to her.
When Geva meets a mysterious man in the woods, the sexual attraction's intense. She is frightened yet enchanted by him. Soon they find it difficult to keep their hands off one another.
But two obstacles keep them apart. One's an abhorrent mystery of his past. The other's their social standings. He's a wealthy nobleman; she's a poor serf's daughter. They were never meant to be together. Society forbids it. Will their love conquer all or will it be extinguished before it's fully ignited?
General Excerpt:
Chapter One
Stars fluttered behind his closed eyelids, inducing him to fall deeper into unconsciousness. Sleep could be euphoric if he'd just let it continue to envelop his mind. But something urged him to rise. The voice of an angel, could it be? So soft, so serene, so alluring.
"My lord, are you all right?" came the caressing whisper.
He opened his eyes briefly and then squeezed them shut again. The stars that just seconds earlier had danced benignly behind his closed lids now expanded exponentially, blinding him. A sharp pain to the side of his temple accompanied the stars' bombardment. "Augh," he uttered in reflex.
A light, warm hand came to rest on his back. "Oh, dear. What shall I do?"
Behind the pain and disorientation, he understood that she was talking to herself, but he couldn't help but respond to the sweet voice of the siren. "Please do not fret, my lady. This will pass."
He opened his eyes in a slow movement this time. Although the stars still inhibited his vision, they did, however, shrink and then fade within moments. The pounding pain on the side of his head remained, though now tolerable. He turned over onto his back and peered up.
The intense, beaming sunlight blinded him. All he could decipher was the silhouette of a shapely figure kneeling just by his side. Bringing his hand down to block the dazzling sun's rays, he gazed at her once more. The most beautiful vision he had ever seen made him fail to expel the stale air he held. A face so delicate, so perfect, with the biggest, bluest eyes, filled his vision. Her black hair, flowing over her shoulders danced with the wind.
The dazzler of beauty smiled slightly and stared deep into his eyes. "Are you all right, my lord?" she repeated once more.
He nodded and then winced as searing pain shot through his skull. Closing his eyes briefly, he took a deep breath as a tear trickled down the side of his face. "I think I'm all right. Just have a devil of a headache is all." He extended his hand. "Would you mind helping me stand?"
"Certainly, my lord." She stood and extended her arm for him to grasp. In doing so, her bodice dipped and he caught a glimpse of her cleavage. His mouth watered as he imagined how her bosom would look without the confining attire.
He gently took hold of her hand and pulled himself to an upright stance, and then let go. His head threatened to explode from the exertion. Twisting so he leaned on his knees, he brought himself to a kneeling position and then stood up. The forest around him spun, and he shot out an arm to grab anything for support or risked plummeting to the ground once more. The only thing to support him was the beauty in front of him. Before he could focus and see what he leaned on, he heard her gasp.
Within seconds, his vision cleared. He realized why she gasped. His open palm leaned on her plump bosom. Quickly pulling away, he felt his cheeks heat. "Forgive me, my lady. My vision is confusing me, and I only reacted so as not to fall."
She cleared her throat. "It's quite all right, my lord." She stared ahead. "Can you walk? My home isn't that far off."
He nodded slowly. "Yes, but I will need to lean on your shoulder so as not to fall."
She turned so her shoulder was just a few inches away from him. "Certainly, my lord."
As he leaned closer and placed his hand for balance, a whiff of a flowered fragrance tickled his nose. He tamed an urge to nuzzle the nape of her exquisite, delicate neck.
They walked for quite some time at a turtle's pace while he continued to wonder what was right and left as everything spun around him. He closed his eyes a few seconds hoping it would subside. To distract himself from the cyclone view, he asked, "What is your name?"
She glanced at him and smiled shyly. "My name is Geva, mylord."
"That is a beautiful name, for a beautiful lady." He grinned back.
Instantly, she broke their eye contact and stared on the ground before them, her cheeks reddening from embarrassment. She quickened her pace and stuttered, "T-thank y-you, my lord."
Trying to follow her new speedy pace became difficult. "Geva, would you mind slowing down? I'm afraid that I cannot keep up. The woods spin more with every quickened breath I take."
She stopped suddenly and turned to look at him with worried eyes. "Please, forgive me. I didn't realize you were still dizzy. Would you like to rest, my lord?"
He shook his head. "No, that isn't necessary. If we walk slowly, I'll be all right."
When she turned back and continued to stride more languidly, he dipped his head forward so he could gaze at her eyes. But she didn't look at him. Her cheeks reddened still and spread to her chin and neck. Finding it flattering and enticing, he coughed. "Um, I won't bite, you know. I'm really quite harmless, my lady."
By now, he could see the cottage she spoke of in his peripheral vision. It was small. A fire must surely be burning inside because the chimney emitted a white cloud of smoke in the air.
Ignoring his teasing words, and his stare, she glanced at him and stated, "There is my home. Do you think you can walk that far?"
He nodded and smiled. "I'll try, Geva."
She turned her gaze forward again, but he didn't miss her brief reciprocating smile.
He decided to change his approach since she was obviously uncomfortable with his directness. Small talk would be best. "Is the village nearby?"
"No. It isn't that far off, though. But I don't think you are strong enough to travel that far by foot, my lord."
Feeling the fatigue settle in and pain seep into his limbs and head, he replied, "No, I don't think I'd be able to. If I could just rest in your home for a bit, until I regain my strength, then I won't bother you anymore and will head out to the village myself. You'll just have to show me what direction to go."
Still avoiding his eyes, she murmured, "You are no bother."
He barely caught it, but heard it, he did. Urging her to repeat herself, he asked, "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
Her eyes widened and she babbled, "I, uh . . . I was, uh . .. I was asking what your name is, my lord."
He stopped dead in his pace a few seconds later as the full force of the question hit him, stunning him.
His name.
"I'm . . . my name is . . ." He procrastinated.
For the love of God, he couldn't think of what his name was.

I needed a few minutes' break since I've been writing for several hours now and decided to post a blog on my site. I hadn't realized it had been that long since I last posted something. Boy, it amazes me how quickly time passes.
So what's been happening:
Well, life has been good, but busy as usual. I'm working on several projects and at times feel like I'm being pulled in a thousand directions at once, but that's when I know I'm over working and stressing myself out. Then I just set everything aside and either go out for a long walk or decide to paint or just cook. Each is the perfect anecdote for stress and helps me get focused again. I'm hoping once three big projects I've been working on are completed by early December then I can take some time off. I haven't had much time for anything other than writing and editing. And although they are my favorite pastimes, I need to do more promoting as well.
Now that I know "Memories Forgotten" my medievil historical romance story will be coming out some time in November with Amira Press, I'll be planning contests and promo for it. You can check back on my blog here and my new one at Word Press for updates on the contests I'll be having.

Thanks to friends' coaxing, I decided to open a blog there. They have been raving about it for so long, I finally tried it out. I tweaked the page a bit, but need to work with it some more to figure everything out.
That is my biggest weakness, I'm not technically savvy, especially with the Net. Truthfully, I find it boggling at times.
I also saw this nice review I got for "Hard at Work" from Whipped Cream. Here’s an excerpt:
“…Hard at Work is a truly enjoyable and fast-pacedstory….while I would have liked to have seen a few of the scenes thatwere only alluded to, overall this was a great story.”

Okay now that I've recharged my brain with this blog break, I'll get back to my story.
Wishing you a great weekend even though it's already almost over.

Hi everyone,
I hope you had a marvelous weekend.
Mine was crazy-busy, but good. We enjoyed the beautiful, sunny weather. I must have some sort of human solar energy harvester embedded in my cells, because I’m so full of energy when the sun is at its peak.
From the weather forecast in our area, we are in store for a gorgeous, sunny week ahead, which is great. I have many, many things to get done and will need all the solar energy I can get.
Before I depart on my adventures, I just wanted to post a wonderful review I got from Fallen Angel Reviews for “Hard at Work”.
Here’s a snippet:
“...Ms. Amour creatively weaves a splendid tale with wonderful dialogue that charms the reader. The characters are indeed genuine and produce a tale that almost comes to life.”

Fallen Angel Review, reviewer Linda L.

Also, my interview I did with Fallen Angel Reviews last month is up. You can check it out at:

I hope you all have a splendid week.
All thebest,
Cherie.

Salut tous le monde.
I just wanted to add a little fun news to my blog before I get back to my other adventurous projects for today.
First off, Yvette at Amira Press sent me the cover for my upcoming Medieval Historical Erotic Romance story "Memories Forgotten" last week and what a cover it is. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It couldn't have portrayed the heroine and hero and the story's setting any better. It's perfect.
And here it is:

Also, I did an interview with Fallen Angels Review last week, which will be coming out at the end of this month. I was so delighted when I find out the interviewer would be one of my old friends. I had a blast answering her questions, even the embarrassing ones. ![]()
I'll post a link on it when it's posted on their site.
Now off to work with my imaginary characters and their hot, romantic stories.
Ciao-ciao.

It's a rainy Monday morning and the perfect time for writing. The muse is buzzing in my head, so I'll be getting back to writing right after I post this.
My medieval historical erotic romance "Memories Forgotten" has been accepted by Amira Press. Yay! When I first had the idea for the story, I never intended it to head where it did. I had a brainstorm of a promising premise, but as the story progressed, my characters and my narrative voice took on a mind of their own and they literally possessed the story. Once I was finished, it certainly wasn't what I had initially imagined it to be. But it was great to let the story and characters rule my pen completely this time around.
The story is sweet as is my heroine, definitely nothing I've ever written before, but the romance isn't. The sexual tension is still as intense as in my other stories, so hopefully readers will still enjoy it. And now my story has found the perfect home. As soon as I have more news on it, I'll be posting it in my blog.
The second thing I wanted to mention is Facebook. I finally have an account. I may be slow, but I do get around to doing things. And eons after everyone has joined the Facebook rave, I have too.
Now back to my story. I hope you all have a wonderful day. ![]()
Bonjour,
Cherie.

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians and Happy 4th of July to my American friends!!!!
I hope everyone is doing well.
I just wanted to post a link to an interview I did with Coffee Time Romance a couple of months back. It's now up on their site. Some questions are similar to the ones I answered for The Romance Studio, but others aren't. I had the most fun answering Danielle's questions. She's such a wonderful lady.
Here's the link: http://www.coffeetimeromance.com/Interviews/CherieAmour.html
Well, I'm heading back to my festivities and leaving you to celebrate yours.
Have a great one. ![]()
